We are nine directors that together form the Super-9 film

collective. The collective consciousness and the support

of the group give us the strength to insist and persist in

situations where we would long have given up as lone

filmmakers. Super-9 stands for the long perseverance

required to make our films, which focus on uncomfortable

and awkward topics. The “second perspective” of the

collective hones our senses and urges us to go below the

surface. Our films differ greatly: quiet or loud, private

or political, but always personal and full of passion. Our

films originate in the melting pot of open dialogue within

the group – now Super-9 is opening the dialogue to the

outside world!
